Leaf it Alone collectibles
There are three sets, counted apart from each other: 8 mysterious photos on Park (Say Leaf!), 8 Castle playing cards (Poker Hand), and 8 Sakura battle cards (Gotta Find 'em All). Picking them up does not raise leaf value, open a shop discount, or start a card battle.

How the counters work
The photo counter on the HUD reads x/8. Poker Hand and Gotta Find 'em All each stop at 8, which is the progress cap on the Steam achievement record. Two guide sites and those caps agree, so I treat 8/8/8 as checked. There is no official “total collectibles” announcement that adds them into one number, and I do not add them.
After 1.1, the journal map colors a zone once its leaves are gone. That color is a leaf-progress mark, not a collectible mark. A zone can be colored and still be missing a photo or a card.
Questions
Do cards and photos share one checklist?
No. Photos, Castle cards, and Sakura cards each have their own achievement and their own counter.
Can you miss a photo forever?
The photo guides agree they are not missable. You can replay a finished Park area in Story.
