Privacy policy
This page describes the third-party services used by the guide and the controls available for them. On 4 Nov 2026 the site loads analytics, Clarity and Adsterra by default; the YouTube player loads only after a visitor activates its preview.
What loads by default, and how to turn it off
Consent Mode v2 starts with ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied, while analytics_storage is granted. With no saved choice the page then updates the ad signals to granted and loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and the two Adsterra units (Native Banner and Social Bar); the notice remains visible. No YouTube request is made until its preview is clicked.
Reject writes a denied record for 180 days and reloads the page with analytics and ad signals denied. Adsterra does not load, Clarity is not requested, and a YouTube player already opened on that page is replaced by its still. Global Privacy Control is treated as a denial. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the notice so you can change the choice.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 property website_356_gameinfo_leafitalone.org, measurement ID G-2L5043VYRJ, is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and its group companies. It counts page views and records the page URL, referrer, approximate location derived from the request, device type, browser and language.
GA4 can set _ga and measurement-specific _ga_* cookies holding a browser identifier. Cookie expiry and event retention depend on the Google property settings; this guide does not publish an unverified retention period. Reject disables further GA4 loading for the saved denial period. Google’s own notice is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity project z88prns3qj is provided by Microsoft Corporation (One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA). It records heatmaps and, when a session is sampled, a replay of clicks, scrolling and page navigation on this site. Clarity applies its masking rules to sensitive fields; this site does not ask you to type personal details into a tracked form.
Clarity documents _clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM cookies. Availability and expiry depend on browser and vendor settings. Reject calls the withdrawal control and reloads the page without the Clarity script; the loader will not start while the denied record is valid. Microsoft’s notice is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Adsterra advertising
Adsterra (publisher account 3403020, website 6174286) serves the Native Banner unit NativeBanner_1 (32085709) in the page and the Social Bar unit SocialBar_1 (32085710) as a floating bar. Both are loaded from bicea.org by this site’s own loader after the first paint, so no ad script is a blocking tag in the HTML. Adult ads are switched off in the Adsterra dashboard (b_feed_erotic_ads_exclude = true); the account is limited to the two page formats above, with no Popunder, Banner or Smartlink unit on this site.
Adsterra and its demand partners set cookies and local storage on their own domains (bicea.org and the creative and measurement hosts they use) to cap how often a creative is shown, measure clicks and choose an ad. Those names are chosen by Adsterra and can change with each campaign, so we do not publish a fixed list that would soon be wrong; the categories are frequency capping, measurement and personalised advertising. You can opt out of personalised advertising at https://adssettings.google.com/, https://optout.aboutads.info/, https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ and https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/. Reject removes the units and reloads without the ad scripts.
YouTube
The trailer preview is a local image. Clicking it creates a YouTube player iframe, which may then set YouTube cookies and receive your IP address and the page that embedded the player. Reject replaces an open iframe with its preview. Google’s notice is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
What is stored on your device
leafitalone_consent holds the choice (granted or denied), an ads flag, the time and an expiry 180 days out. leafitalone_checks holds the photo and card boxes you tick; it stays on this device, has no fixed expiry and is removed when you clear site data. leafitalone_adbar_closed holds the timestamp of the moment you hid the Adsterra Social Bar, so the bar does not return on the next page view; it stays until you clear site data. None of these three keys is sent to us.
The third-party cookies above are set by Google, Microsoft and Adsterra respectively, not by this site, and their expiry and processing are governed by the relevant vendor settings and notices. Blocking cookies in the browser stops them; it does not break the guide pages.
Your choices, retention and rights
This site uses the default-on notice and withdrawal controls described above. Mail you send is handled to answer your request and is kept only as long as needed for that answer. The saved browser choice lasts 180 days. Third-party retention varies by service and configuration; the linked vendor notices describe their processing.
You may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time with Cookie settings. Write to [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We are the operator of leafitalone.org. This policy changes by editing this page and its date; the current revision date appears on this page.
Questions
Do ads and analytics load before I choose?
Yes. With no saved choice, analytics and the ad signals are updated to granted and those services start with the page. YouTube loads only after its preview is clicked. The banner still appears; Reject remembers the denial for 180 days.
Do you sell personal data?
No. We do not run our own ad auction and we do not send your checklist off this browser. Adsterra may share cookie identifiers with its demand partners to serve and measure ads, as described above, and you can opt out at the links in that section.
How do I change my choice?
Use Cookie settings in the footer, then Accept or Reject. Reject removes the ad units, stops Clarity recording and removes the YouTube player for the rest of that page view and for later visits while the record lasts.
