Need for Sweep, under 40 minutes

Steam says “Complete the game in under 40 minutes.” The public rate on 4 Nov 2026 was 6.6%. Guides say you need the ending, not a sweep of all 13 Park zones. Reported community times sit between 33:56 and 39:59.

A short route people post

SteamNavi summarizes a community route through porch, front yard, garage, basement, shed, pool, greenhouse, swings, and the secret room. Its fast route skips the court, while Orukoharin recommends clearing the court first for sprint. These are different approaches to the timed garage door: keep the button held to open it, then move through before it closes. Clearing the greenhouse remains necessary to open the secret-room vent. Moving swings before greenhouse gives crouch earlier.

speedrun.com’s Any% board, read on 4 Nov 2026, shows 20:49.950 from 5 Aug 2026. All Leaves is 25:43.062 and All Objectives is 26:11.326. Those records are shorter than 40 minutes, which is why I believe the achievement is an ending-time goal and not a 100% clear. Version 1.1 added an in-game timer you can set to Any%. LiveSplit still works.

The 1.1 question I will not close

Castle and Sakura arrived on 30 Oct 2026. The achievement sentence was not rewritten to say whether those maps are inside the 40 minutes. A 20-minute world record and a 6.6% unlock rate both fit “Park ending only,” and one guide page says every map. I print both and I do not pick a winner.

Craftsman cannot share this file if you repair inlets, because that achievement forbids repairs. Need for Sweep itself does not mention inlets.

Questions

Do I have to clear all 13 areas?

The Steam sentence does not say that. Guides written for the achievement skip zones.

Does the built-in timer replace LiveSplit?

The 1.1 note says the timer covers Any%, All Leaves, and All Objectives, and that LiveSplit remains supported.
